Use case

Take back control of software you already run.

Most businesses do not need a new application. They need the one they depend on to be released, watched and improved again. GetFlowing imports what exists and manages it from there.

For existing systems

You connect a GitHub organisation and import the repositories you want managed. Your stack, history and repository ownership are preserved, and each application becomes a managed project.

Where this usually starts

Software the business depends on, and nobody left who knows it.

The application works. That is most of the problem: it works well enough that nobody has had to understand it for a while. The developer who built it has moved on, the deployment process was never written down anywhere durable, and the last release was frightening enough that the next one keeps getting postponed.

So the backlog gets older than the current team, small changes turn into projects because nobody wants to be the person who touched it, and nothing is watching production, which means the first sign of a problem is usually a customer.

What changes

Mapped, released and watched again.

Onboarding is a mapping exercise rather than a migration. You connect a GitHub organisation and choose the repositories to manage. GetFlowing detects the applications inside them, including inside monorepos, keeps related services grouped, and maps the stack, environments and deployment history. Nothing is moved, rewritten or restructured in order to bring an application under management, and your existing stack, history and repository ownership are preserved.

From then on the knowledge sits in the platform rather than in one person recollection. Changes arrive as reviewable pull requests with test results attached, releases go out with health checks and an approval step, production is monitored, and logs and incident context sit beside the release that changed behaviour. Any restructuring becomes a decision you make deliberately rather than something that happens to you during onboarding.

  • Repositories stay in your GitHub account: nothing is copied or relocated.
  • Applications inside monorepos are detected and related services stay grouped.
  • The stack, environments and deployment history are mapped and visible in one place.
  • Tests run on every change, and production deployments pause for approval.
  • Health checks gate traffic, and a rollback is available when a change was wrong.
  • Traffic, latency, errors, uptime and logs are monitored again.
  • Backlog work, fixes and investigations are requested from the dashboard or Slack.

Onboarding for existing projects is included from the Pro plan at £249 per month. Business and Scale raise the managed apps, agent work units, build minutes, deployments and environments together, which is what a larger portfolio of existing systems needs.
